About Terry

My Role: Make Your Life Better

I have found that what my clients are really interested in is how I can help make their lives better. My main job is to provide financial leadership and oversight best accomplished by coaching and educating. It is often a transformational process, navagating through the financial noise, to promote positive change. The desired outcome is for them to be able to live the life they want today and in the future.

Virtual Advisor

With clients around the country I am most often communicating virtually. Distance is not a barrier, in fact, with everyone’s busy schedule, face to face meetings are time consuming and generally unnecessary. With today’s technology, the ease and comfort of dealing virtually has become the preferred method of communication.

I challenge conventional wisdom in all facets of life, both business and personal. There are no “shoulds” because that’s the way it is done. I strive to continually question, get better and be relevant in a rapidly changing world. To that end, I believe it is extremely important to surround myself with stimulating and uplifting people.

I am from Ohio where I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Business and Finance. I was fortunate to have attended BGSU on an athletic scholarship and played both football and baseball. After graduation I entered the Financial Services Business and spent the majority of my career in Cleveland, Ohio before relocating to Florida. My wife Kay and I have two sons and two daughters along with five grandchildren.

My background and experience includes both working directly with clients as an advisor, and building and managing various Financial Services businesses. My clients have included highly compensated individuals, small business owners, as well as public companies. Areas of expertise include investment management, insurance, employee benefits, executive compensation and estate planning.

My interests include history, impressionist art, classical music (an avid follower of The Cleveland Orchestra) and Craft Brewed Beer. In addition, Kay and I have been involved with many boards and charities over the years. Perhaps the most rewarding was helping her when she founded the interfaith hospitality network of Cleveland, which provided care and assistance to homeless families. Finally, as a lifelong athlete I have a passion to stay in the game and compete at a high level. I have found endurance racing to be the perfect venue to test my physical limits. ridewithterry.com
